Women's Weight Training :
Women's weight training is a topic that rarely is covered in
regard to losing weight but it should be. Many women are afraid
to engage in weight training because they think they will get
large unfeminine looking muscles. This is simply not true. Women
do not produce the hormones needed for massive muscles.
What weight training will do for women is give them a toned
look with some muscle definition without the bulk. An added
bonus that most women will be happy about is that muscle burns
more calories than fat so having muscle is a good thing as far
as reducing body fat. Anyone wishing to reduce his/her
body fat should add some weight training to their workout along
with cardio.
If you are not sure how to go about weight training and you
are a member of a gym or fitness center ask if there is a
personal trainer on staff who can show you some basic free
weight as well as machine exercises. If you know who to
correctly do the free weights, then you can invest in some
weights to do some of your exercises at home if you want to.
If you are not a member of a gym, information on basic
exercises with weights can be found online or in fitness
magazines. Just be sure that you don't use weights that are too
heavy and that you are sure that you understand how to correctly
perform the exercise. Hiring a personal trainer to come to your
home for a few sessions to instruct you may be an option if you
can afford it. Be sure to ask for reference and qualifications
before hiring a trainer, especially if they will be working with
you at your home.
Weight training can be a great way to get a tones sexy body
and burn more calories so ladies, don't be afraid to try it!
