Lowering Body Fat:

Those who lose a great deal of weight in a short amount of time aren’t necessarily keeping the weight off. In fact, this is most likely weight loss via a loss of fluids which means the weight will come right back when fluids are present again. The real problem is trying to lower body fat, which can take a good amount of time through various means.

First, it is important to line out a correct diet. Exercise can usually not do the work alone, as body fat can be quite stubborn at times. The proper diet should be lined out with a nutritionist, or at the very least well thought through. For instance, a diet with fruits, vegetables, and other nourishing sources of vitamins and minerals would be the best for a good workout. It is important to note that the diet is only half of the problem actually getting the body fat burned off the body will usually take exercise.

When exercising, it is important to keep a few things in mind. If a heart beat monitor is accessible, it should be used. Keeping the heart rate over a certain range for an extended period of time will allow body fat to be burned. For instance, a tennis player who plays hard for 15 minutes will not see the same results a tennis player who played an hour at a steady pace. In fact, the tennis player who kept the heart beat at a constant pace will have lost more body fat- regardless of fatigue.

Cardiovascular exercises are some of the best for body fat loss. This is because more energy is burned, which has to come from two sources: carbohydrates and body fats. Obviously, the more energy burned means more fat burned. Things such as running, stair stepping, or swimming are great examples of this concept.

Body fat, as stated before, is very difficult to get rid of. It often requires a constant routine over a long period of time. Fast results will most likely not be seen, especially if the proper diet is not followed. Do not be discouraged by slow progress, and do not envy fast weight loss others see through starving or malnutrition- they will simply gain the weight back when the proper nutrition is present. If one is to be serious about losing body fat, they must stick to the routine for months on end. When the proper results are achieved, regression of body fat will be harder to experience, but it is possible. For this reason, a proper diet and exercise plan should continue throughout one’s life.
